Batchelor Business Machines was founded in 1976 by Joanne and Ben Batchelor.

After creating a large base of corporate accounts, our company partnered with IBM in 1983 and became an authorized dealer for the new series of Wheelwriter typewriters.

We have specialized in the sale of new and reconditioned typewriters for businesses and consumers around the world. In addition, we are a Lexmark authorized dealer for the Diamond Series of Wheelwriters.

Ten years before establishing Batchelor Business Machines, Ben Batchelor worked in the office products division of IBM, servicing electric typewriters. At IBM, he collaborated with sales staff and studied their successful marketing methods.

Meanwhile, Joanne accumulated extensive experience in phone sales and was exceptional at dealing with customers.

Joanne Batchelor has received two IBM Means Service Awards, given only to a limited number of outstanding performers each year. This distinction is a top award recognizing an employee’s ability to provide superior customer service.

We have also garnered 25 IBM Suggestion Awards, focusing primarily on reengineering existing equipment.
